Real-life lessons on finding your place in the world from an author, speaker & entrepreneur who’s always on the move.
Yes, I’ve moved 19 times in my 30-something years, and those moves weren’t always by choice. Making moves comes naturally to me now, but adjusting to new places wasn’t always easy. As a proud Puerto Rican, German-American Army brat who’s also part of the LGBTQ+ community, every relocation has deepened my understanding of the cities and cultures that make our country—and world—so fascinating and complex.
Engraining myself in new communities has enriched my approach to every single facet of my life: running a business, writing stories and sharing my expertise with others hoping to find their place in the world, too.
Whether you’re seeking creative collaborations or sources for your next story, I invite you to send me a message. Let’s push the boundaries of what life could be together.
Thanks to my military upbringing and passion for travel, I’ve called the world my home—from small Texas towns to European cities to the sunny hills of Los Angeles, where I currently reside. Growing up gay in a Puerto Rican-German Catholic family on U.S. Army bases had its challenges, but it made me who I am today: a multifaceted citizen of the world who loves a good story anywhere, any time and in any shape or form.
As founder and CEO of The Postcard Agency, I get to discover and develop stories for clients around the world every day—from PBS to Smoothie King to Miami Beach Pride. While leading the award-winning agency, exploring meaningful topics during interviews and sharing my expertise in panels, I draw upon my first-hand experiences and knowledge of the LGBTQ+, Hispanic and military communities to connect with diverse audiences in the real world.
Beyond the office, I enjoy writing short stories (I’m currently working on my fourth picture book), thumbing through architecture and design magazines, trying new restaurants, spending time at the beach, hiking in my backyard and traveling the world.
