Things to do in LA: The Egyptian Theatre

Did you know the Egyptian Theatre hosted the first-ever Hollywood film premiere? Since opening its doors in 1922, the theater has hosted movie premieres and film festivals galore.

Netflix purchased the piece of Hollywood history in 2020 and reopened the theater after more than three years of renovations, and it’s stunning!

Thoughtful details are everywhere, from the hieroglyphics painted in the courtyard and lobby to the theater ceiling inspired by ancient Egyptian necklaces.

I had such a great time visiting the Egyptian Theatre with friends and can’t wait to go back.
