A golden afternoon at Greystone Mansion & Gardens is living proof that the best things in life really are free.
Whenever I’m in need of a little inspiration, I walk over to this legendary estate hidden from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
Built in 1928 and once the most expensive home in all of California, Greystone Mansion & Gardens features a stunning Tudor Revival mansion, and its grounds are free to visit thanks to the City of Beverly Hills.
I can spend hours wandering through its beautiful gardens and cobblestoned paths. You can enjoy stunning views of Beverly Hills, Century City and downtown Los Angeles from many vantage points, and, if you’re lucky, you can even see the ocean on a clear day.
Greystone can be whatever you want it to be, and that’s why it’s one of my most favorite spots to enjoy a healthy dose of escapism.
Pretend you’re exploring a provincial town in Tudor England, go on a wild safari or simply take in the sweeping views all around you. The possibilities are endless — and the parking is free!
Here’s the address to help you start planning your next adventure:
